  “Well,” she whispered, hoping the sound of her voice might calm her nerves. “Looks like that dress can be salvaged after all.” And not a word had been said about a missing leather duster.

  She held the paper to her chest and looked over at the workbench, her mind already developing different mixes to try for her next night flight.
